What happens to my credit card information when I reserve online? Is it secure?
Yes! Choice Hotels International's online reservations system is secure and your guest information (including credit card) will be encrypted as it passes over the internet.
You will be switched to our secure server when personal information such as guest data or credit card numbers need to be transmitted. You can tell you are on our secure server when the address begins with "https" rather than "http". Also, a lock will display in your browser notifying you that the page is secure. Do I need to give my credit card to make an online reservation?
Yes, your credit card is required to guarantee your room. When you reserve your room with a credit card, the room is held for you regardless of your arrival time. This means the hotel is required to hold your room for you until 7AM the morning following your date of arrival.
Your credit card is not charged for your stay prior to your arrival unless the hotel has a prepayment or deposit requirement. Prepayment and deposit requirements are displayed for hotels during the CONFIRMATION process. A warning will display if the hotel requires a deposit or prepayment.
The only exception is in the case of booking 10 or more rooms at a single hotel. In this case you will be contacted by a customer service representitive 72 hours after booking your hotel.

What happens if my plans change and I forget to change or cancel my reservations? Will I be charged?
Since you guaranteed your room for arrival using your credit card, you will be billed a minimum of one night's stay if you do not cancel your reservation prior to the cancellation deadline. Since cancellation policies vary from hotel to hotel, you may have additional liabilities. Please be sure to note the cancellation policy when making reservations online. This information is originally displayed once you have selected a room to reserve and will also be included once your reservation has been confirmed.

How do I view or cancel a reservation that I reserved online?
To view or cancel a reservation online, go to our View/Cancel a Reservation page by clicking on the link at the top of the search form on the Home page. You can use this form to view any reservation that you made online at this Choice Hotels Internet site, or that you made over the phone with a Choice Hotels reservations sales representative, as long as you have:
- Guest Last Name
- Confirmation number
- A Netscape, Microsoft, or other security-enabled (SSL) web browser.
(If you made a reservation directly with a hotel, you will need to call the hotel directly to ask about the reservation.)
How do I order a printed directory?
Simply click on "Free e-Directory" at the bottom of any of this website's pages and then select "Order A Print Directory." Complete the form and submit your request.
